Welcome Back!
Welcome to another edition of the MHC Weekly Newsletter.
This week, we're going deeper into AI x Trading, showing you how Claude can help find, backtest, and improve trading strategies. We've also highlighted Morin's latest AI trading insights and Fabian's new TradFi opportunities, including two bearish setups he's currently watching.
Plus, as always, we've included our Weekly Market Report with the latest macro developments, market structure, catalysts, and trade ideas.
Let's dive in.
AI x Trading: Backtest Winning Strategies
AI x Trading isn't just about using AI to analyze charts. This week, we're taking it a step further with using Claude and TradingView to find, test, and refine trading strategies before putting real money behind them.
Miles recently backtested 432 trading strategies, found a winner, and took it live. We've turned the process into a practical guide you can follow yourself.

The guide walks you through the full process:
Find strategies worth testing from TradingView, GitHub, or your own ideas
Write them into Pine Script with Claude
Test them against historical market data in TradingView
Read the key metrics, including profit, win rate, drawdown, and profit factor
Refine the strategy by exporting your trade history and having Claude analyse what worked and what didn't
The key is not finding one perfect strategy. It's building a repeatable process where you can test multiple ideas, learn from the results, and continuously improve them.
We've included the full Backtest Winning Strategies Guide below so you can follow the process step by step.
One important reminder: a backtest is a simulation, not a guarantee. The guide also covers the key guardrails to keep in mind before taking a strategy live.
Morin: Use AI to Audit Your Trading Risk
We think this is another AI x Trading video worth highlighting. Morin shows how you can use Claude to analyse your trading journal and identify the risks that could eventually blow up your account.
Instead of simply showing your P&L, the dashboard compares your trading against professional risk-management benchmarks and breaks down where you're doing well and where you're taking too much risk.
The analysis covers things like:
Drawdown and risk per trade
Expectancy, win rate, and profit factor
Worst trading days and trade frequency
Where your profits and losses are actually coming from
How your trading behaviour compares to professional standards
The interesting part is that Claude doesn't just give you the numbers. It explains what they mean, where the gaps are, and what you can improve.
If you're already journaling your trades, this is a great example of how AI can turn that data into something much more useful than a simple performance report.
Fabian's Latest TradFi Setups
Fabian continues to keep a close eye on TradFi, with two bearish setups standing out this week.
SpaceX Short Setup
Fabian sees SpaceX (SPCX) as an attractive short between current levels and $150, with potential invalidation above that. His thesis is based on the upcoming unlocks through December, tighter liquidity conditions, and the potential competition for capital from Anthropic's expected IPO.
He'd build the position slowly and prefers using put options to avoid margin and funding risks.

Unitree Pre-IPO Short
Fabian also took a small short on Unitree through the Hyperliquid pre-IPO market at $87/share. He sees the implied valuation as difficult to justify compared with Western humanoid robotics companies and believes previous Hyperliquid pre-IPO listings provide a relevant precedent.
With the IPO approaching, he's watching for further pops to add to the position while remaining cautious around the low liquidity and volatility typical of these markets.

Weekly Market Report
Again, we have our Weekly Market Report, covering the key developments our analysts are watching across crypto and broader markets.
This week's report includes:
Macro & Fed: The July jobs shock, CPI, rate expectations and what they mean for risk assets.
Bitcoin: Updated price action, ETF flows, key support/resistance and the current $60K–$67K range.
Market Rotation: ADA and privacy coins outperforming while DeFi, memecoins and several long-tail alts lag.
Key Catalysts: PPI, the SEC's upcoming crypto vote, major token unlocks and the delayed CLARITY Act vote.
Trade Ideas: Updated BTC and ETH setups, plus a YZY unlock setup that remains live.
The key takeaway: the macro backdrop has improved, but crypto is still failing to fully participate. For now, the report's base case is range-bound rather than a broad risk-on move.
